Just keep in mind text messages are not included in iCloud backups by default – you have to enable this in Settings.
This will work as long as you had iCloud backups properly configured to include text messages and your lost iPhone backed up somewhat recently. Restore your new iPhone from that iCloud backup to get back your text messages and other data.Go to Settings > Your Name > iCloud > Manage Storage or the iCloud webpage and check for an available backup of your lost iPhone.On a new iPhone or the Find My iPhone website, sign in with your Apple ID that was used on the lost device.If you had iCloud backups enabled on your lost iPhone, you may be able to restore and access the text messages from your most recent backup.
